Last Saturday we loaded up the car and drove to Lamington National Park...
We stayed in a little cabin...
that happened to be in the clouds.
We went on our first family hike (or bush walk)...
and Brooks was constantly on the lookout for the perfect "sword."
Without even realizing it, he completed his first 5k.
We went back to the lodge where we were staying...
found a nice little bench...
and watched the sun set over Binna Burra.
The next morning we drove to the Green Mountains...
and came across an alpaca farm.
The boys fed them and I watched (because those things are NASTY).
We found a nice lookout where we ate a picnic lunch and then headed onward.
We found a place where we could feed the parrots and Brooks loved it.
He loved having them on his arm, but he did not love it when...
they landed on his head.
I thought it was fun...
Patrick thought it was fun...
and the birds thought Patrick was one of them.
We left the birds and headed for the rainforest...
where only the strong survived.
A good trip was had by all.
